Hourly pay rate: $20.00 to $21.47

A little about this position:
  • Sets up and tears down timing equipment for a variety of race events, runs the equipment and times the actual events.
  • Is responsible for the accuracy and precision of all timing data.
  • Produces timing reports and results for all USSA/FIS sanctioned events.
  • Maintains and fixes all types of timing equipment and the wiring system.
  • Assists in all other aspects of event/race production as needed, setting up gates, banners, removes any obstacles during the event.
  • Tears down gates, fencing, signage etc. as required at the close of the day or the end of race events.
  • On the job training and supervision by a very experienced timing technician will be provided and is part of the job.

Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent experience.
  • Computer literate, highly organized, accurate, precision and a strong math background a must.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with racers, race officials, coaching staff, co-workers and ski area guests.
  • Knowledge of race procedures and regulations desirable.
  • Good skiing or snowboarding skills required.
  • Ability to do general repairs on timing equipment and an electronics background strongly desirable.
