Montego Minerals is looking to add an Accounting Data Entry Clerk to our team. This is a full-time in-person position, located in our Midland Texas office. The primary role of this position is to assist with revenue data management, processing distributions, and reconciling portfolio accounts. The Data Entry Clerk provides crucial support to the accounting department, performing a range of tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of an organization's finances. This role would be suitable for someone with limited experience, or as an entry level position for candidates looking to build foundational skills. This person will be assisting the Accounting Department, and duties may include: Data entry: Accurately inputting financial data, including revenue and ownership detail and distribution transactions, into accounting software and databases. Record maintenance: Maintaining and updating financial records and filing systems (both physical and digital). Reconciliation: Assisting with reconciling accounts and verifying the accuracy of entered data. Reporting: Assisting with the preparation of various financial reports. Administrative tasks: Providing general support to the accounting team and performing other clerical duties as needed. Successful applicants should be able to demonstrate the following skills/requirements: Previous Employment History: Applicants should show previous employment history to demonstrate reliability Attention to Detail & Accuracy: A high level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail are crucial for this role. Proficiency in Accounting Software: A working knowledge of accounting software like QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel. Access and SQL experience is a plus. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with colleagues, clients, and vendors. Organizational & Time Management Skills: The ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and handle multiple responsibilities is important. Educational Background: Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED. Integrity & Confidentiality: Handling sensitive financial information requires discretion and adherence to ethical standards. Benefits: Medical and dental insurance paid by employer.
